Liara T’Soni

The asari were the first to discover the Citadel in this cycle. They are a mono-sexed female race capable of mating with any other organic creature and have life spans counted in the centuries. Many of the most respected beings in the Mass Effect universe are asari. As a whole, they are admired for their culture, intelligence, and wisdom. All asari possess the ability to use biotics.

Liara T’Soni is the last to join Shepard’s crew on his mission to stop Saren. She is relatively young for an asari but has distinguished herself as an academic and is one of the foremost experts on prothean civilization. As the daughter of a prominent matriarch, Liara has led a life of privilege. She attended the finest universities in asari space and never wanted for resources. Liara’s chosen field was archaeology and she has spent more than half her life studying the ancient protheans. Through the course of her studies, she has developed a hypothesis about cycles of extinction. Liara believes that the protheans were not the builders of the Citadel but simply found it after discovering the mass relays, much the way the asari did thousands of years ago. At the time the game begins she is on a planet known as Therum studying prothean ruins and gathering data to prove her hypothesis.

Shepard is directed toward Liara because she is the daughter of Benezia, the asari matriarch aiding Saren. By the time the Normandy arrives Therum looking for Doctor T’Soni the geth have already arrived to kill her. It is a race against the clock!

Biotic Mastery (Elemental Control: Telekinesis) D10 – Barrier (Enhanced Durability) D8 – Warp (Attack) D8
SFX. Lift: Add a D6 and step up your effect die by +1 when inflicting a biotic complication on a target.
SFX. Unstable Warp: Double Warp for an attack and step up the stress die by +1. Add a D6 to the Doom Pool after the attack.
SFX. Practiced Barrier: Spend 1 PP to ignore physical stress or trauma unless caused by biotic attacks.
Limit. Exhausted: Shut down any ASARI BIOTICS power to gain 1 PP. Recover power by taking an action against the Doom Pool or during a transition scene.
Limit. Dark Energy Interference: Gain +1 PP and shut down Barrier when you take physical stress caused by a biotic attack. Recover power by activating an opportunity or during a transition scene.

Pistol (Attack) D6
Limit. Gear: Shut down STRANGELY WELL ARMED ARCHAEOLOGIST and gain 1 PP. Take an action against the Doom Pool or during a Transition scene to recover.

Milestone: Uncovering the Past
1xp when you uncover some tidbit about the protheans or explore their ruins.
3xp when your knowledge of the protheans helps the mission at hand.
10xp when you abandon your academic career or leave the Normandy to pursue your research.

Milestone: Introvert
1xp when your poor social skills cause embarrassment.
3xp when you step up a relationship die with a crew member.
10xp when you initiate a romance with another character or turn away a potential suitor.
